Energy performance of buildings: improving skills for renovation of existing buildings to nZEB standard - 8 December 2016

On 8 December 2016 in Bratislava, Slovakia, the StavEdu/ingREeS/Train-to-nZEB Conference: Energy performance of buildings: improving skills for renovation of existing buildings to nZEB standard, was organised by the Institute for Education and Services (ÚVS) to launch StavEdu National Qualification and Further Training Scheme for craftsmen and on-site workers in the area of energy effciency and use of renewable energy sources in buildings. Initiative of ZSPS (Association of Construction Entrepreneurs of Slovakia) "Building Future" was also launched at the conference.

Launch of StavEdu pilot courses

First StavEdu pilot courses for groups 1,2,3,4 and 7 successfully took place during January and February in Bratislava, Nitra and Nové Zámky.

GROUP 1(bulk production): bricklayer, insulator, plasterer, concrete worker, scaffolding assembler


GROUP 2: (auxiliary production): auxiliary production bricklayer (including dry mounting and wooden structures assemblers and installer of fillings for building openings), chimneyer, carpenter/joiner, electrician, plasterboard fitter


GROUP 3: (concrete and steel structures): assembler of concrete and steel structures, assembler of building envelope, steel structure specialist

GROUP 4: (roofs and hydro-insulation): roofer, hydro-insulators, carpenter, tinsmith, slater

GROUP 5(finalization): painter, paperer, tile setter, floorer, paver, mason

GROUP 6: (installations): installer/plumber, installer of sanitary equipment, installer of heating, cooling and water preparation equipment, construction locksmith

GROUP 7: (machinery): crane and construction machinery operators



Investing in Construction Skills - 7 April 2016

A joint StavEdu/ingREeS/CrossCraft/Train-to-nZEB Conference “Investing in Construction Skills” was organised on 7 April 2016 in Bratislava, Slovakia at the occasion of the Coneco/Racioenergia 2016 Fair aimed at energy efficiency and use of renewables in buildings. This conference was complemented with specific StavEdu/CrossCraft Workshop to present to stakeholders examples of the training programmes from StavEdu and the on-site training developed by CrossCraft project (Build Up Skills project in Austria).


ULO Validation Workshop Workshop - 12 February 2015

Second StavEdu workshop took place on 12 February 2015, from 10:00 to 12:00 in National lifelong learning institute at Tomášikova 4 street in Bratislava. Main objective of the workshop was finalization of qualification and evaluation standards.


StavEdu Inception Workshop with Stakeholders and ULO development - 19 November 2014

On 19 November 2014, from 10:00 to 15:00, the first StavEdu workshop took place in the National lifelong learning institute at Tomášikova 4 street in Bratislava. Main goal of the workshop was to specify learning outcomes for different education programmes within StavEdu project. 15 members from 9 different public and private organizations (ZSPS, ÚVS, NÚCŽV, SOŠ Ivanská cesta 21, SOŠ Nitrianska cesta 61, SOŠ Nábrežie mládeže 1, SKGBC, Knauf AMF s.r.o. and Leier Baustoffe SK s.r.o.) participated in the workshop. At the beginning of the workshop, the participants were familiarized with the goals and timetable of the StavEdu project, then validation of the division of professions into training programs and identification of technologies and materials used in the construction of buildings took place. The work later continued after participants were divided into two groups, the first group had the task of defining targets for vocational skills training and the second group defined target of expertise for training.
